- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c chocolate chips
- 1 c bananas (ripe)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Add All Ingredients
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together the white sugar and the softened butter.
In a small bowl, combine the milk and vinegar to produce sour milk.
Stir the vanilla and sour milk (milk/vinegar mixture) into the sugar/butter mixture.
Whisk together the two eggs, then stir into the large bowl.
In a second large bowl, mix the following dry ingredients: white flour, baking soda, salt. Whisk together thoroughly
Add wet ingredients to dry mixture and stir to moisten. Do not overmix.
Add 1 cup of thoroughly mashed ripe banana (about 3 small or 2 large). Mix slightly to combine.
Add 1 cup chocolate chips.
Stir to combine all ingredients, but do not overmix. There should be some lumps in the batter.

Let cake cool completely before frosting with Harriet's Chocolate Frosting (recipe is separate).
