Clam Marinara Sauce By: Stacey C.
I have a rare lung disease called Lymphoangioleiomyomatosis, and I was introduced to the CF community by Ana S. and Isabel S., while I was waiting for my double-lung transplant. After my transplant, I also met many other CF friends.
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz minced clams
- 1/2 c onion
- 3/4 c water
- 1 tsp basil
- 1/4 c white wine (optional)
- Add All Ingredients
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a small frying pan.
Mince onions, garlic, and clams.
Add to the pan and sauté until onions are clear.
Put tomato paste in the mixture, and add 3/4 cup water, stirring continuously until mixture has a consistent texture.
Add wine and stir for 1 minute.
Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 5 more minutes.
Add basil, salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over pasta.
