Clam Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz minced clams
- 1/2 c onion
- 3/4 c water
- 1 tsp basil
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 c white wine (optional)

Instructions
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Step 1
Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a small frying pan.
Step 2
Mince onions, garlic, and clams.
Step 3
Add to the pan and sauté until onions are clear.
Step 4
Put tomato paste in the mixture, and add 3/4 cup water, stirring continuously until mixture has a consistent texture.
Step 5
Add wine and stir for 1 minute.
Step 6
Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 5 more minutes.
Step 7
Add basil, salt and pepper to taste.
Step 8
Serve over pasta.
