Family Favorite Homemade Pasta Sauce
Our CF son loves this pasta sauce served with spaghetti. He could eat several servings at one meal and would ask for any leftovers the next day. He has even been known to eat it at breakfast the next morning! These fresh ingredients are keeping him healthy.

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, diced
- 1 green sweet pepper, diced
- 29 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 c fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Step 1
Brown beef in a large skillet adding onion, garlic, pepper and mushrooms cooking for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Add tomatoes and juice, oregano, rosemary, chili powder and salt.
Step 3
Simmer on low heat for 40 minutes or until sauce is reduced, stirring every few minutes.
