Inside Out Cabbage Rolls

I have a wonderful 16-year-old grandson who has CF. He loves when I come to visit so I can cook for him and his brother and sister. This is one of the recipes he loves.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 14.1 oz tomato soup or tomato sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 tsp dried onions
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 can(s) water
  • 1/2 c cooked brown rice
  • Add All Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1
In a large skillet, brown meat.

Step 2
Add onions, soup and rice.

Step 3
Add chopped cabbage on top and make sure you have enough liquid to cover everything.

Step 4
Simmer with a lid on the skillet till cabbage is cooked and tender.

Step 5
Serve over mashed potatoes.
