Chewy Butterscotch Brownies By: Marc L.
Recipe Story
My step-daughter is 30 years old and has CF. This is one of her favorite brownie recipes that her mom bakes for her.
Ingredients
- 1 c unbleached all-purpose white flour
- 1 1/4 c whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c butter - softened
- 1 3/4 c dark brown sugar - packed
- 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 11 oz butterscotch morsels
- 1 c walnuts, chopped
- Add All Ingredients
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine: flours, baking powder, salt in medium bowl and whisk together.
Beat eggs in large bowl until foamy.
Gradually beat in flours/baking powder/salt mixture.
Stir in 1 cup morsels and 1 cup nuts (reserve 2/3 cup of morsels for topping).
Spread batter in ungreased 13x9 baking pan.
Sprinkle top with the remaining 2/3 cup morsels.
Bake for 28 - 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on wire rack.
Cut into 48 brownies.
