Easy, Prize Winning Dorm Room Chocolate Banana Cream Pie By: Darleen B.
Recipe Story
In the 1980's the CF clinic seemed dubious of my ability to thrive in the dorm. Ha! is all I have to say, I did very well in the dorm. The meal plan allowed for 3 meals a day but that was never enough. I made a lot of food in my dorm room with not much more than a popcorn popper, an iron, a hot pot and a mini fridge for tools. In those days microwaves were not too common. To make the pie filling in this recipe I used an empty popcorn kernel jar. I took this pie to a Halloween party at church and won first prize in the pie contest. My roommate asked me to make this again and again.
Ingredients
- 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix

- 8 Hershey miniature chocolate bars
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Add All Ingredients
Directions
Pour milk and pudding mix into a 1 quart jar.

Let the pudding set while slicing the banana into the pie crust.
Pour the pudding over the sliced bananas.
Chill the pie until it is set (about 2 hours).
When ready to serve the pie break the candy into bits and sprinkle over the pie.
