Fresh Blueberry Cobbler By: Ann R.
Recipe Story
Our son who has CF fell in love with this tasty and healthy dessert. He has grown to love fresh fruit and this cobbler recipe could be made with many combinations of fresh fruits.
Ingredients
- 8 c fresh blueberries, rinsed and drained
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp mace
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 c whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 tsp unsalted butter, melted
- Add All Ingredients
Directions
- Prep Time: 30 minutes
- Cook Time: 40-50 minutes
Pour melted butter into a 9x13" deep Pyrex baking pan.
Mix together batter: 1 1/2 cups sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, mace and salt, stirring to combine.
Mix filling: blueberries and 1 cup sugar, stirring to combine.
Add batter to baking pan. Arrange fruit mixture over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees until batter browns about 40-50 minutes.
Let cobbler cool for 30 minutes before serving.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
