Dump Cake By: Cheryl S.

Recipe Story

I am the Mom of two beautiful children with CF. My son is 14 and my daughter is 11. My daughter has tree nut allergies and this is one dessert she can enjoy with no worries. The ice cream adds extra calories to an already high-calorie dessert. It's also a good way to sneak in a fruit. We enjoy making peach, blueberry, and apple, but any fruit would work. With our busy routine, it's a quick and easy dessert and it's always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s) fruit pie filling
  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 stick(s) butter
  • Add All Ingredients

Directions

  • Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

  1. In a greased 9x13-inch dish, mix pie filling and caramel sauce.

  2. Spread the filling mixture in the pan.

  3. Next, mix the dry cake mix with the 2 sticks of melted butter and sprinkle on the top.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

  5. Serve warm with a scoop of your favorite flavor of ice cream!
