Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies By: Sue L.
Recipe Story
My daughter, 30 years old, has CF and she loves these brownies. Her health prevents her from spending much time baking, so I make these as treats.
Ingredients
- 4 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 12 tsp unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 c unbleached all-purpose white flour
- 1/3 c unsalted chunky natural peanut butter
- Add All Ingredients
Directions
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 27 minutes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13 baking pan lined with greased aluminum foil.
In large microwave bowl, combine chocolate and butter.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir, then again until chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
In another bowl, combine eggs (whisk together), sugar, vanilla, and stir until creamy.
Add chocolate and butter mixture, stirring a few times.
Add flour, stir to combine (shouldn't be completely smooth).
Pour into prepared pan, and smooth out the batter.
Take half-teaspoons of the peanut butter and place in 4-5 spots across the short side of the pan until the entire pan is dotted with peanut butter.
Take the tip of a knife and gently run it across the peanut butter dots and chocolate, lengthwise in the pan.
Bake for 27 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Do not overbake.
