Hamburger Casserole

This is my grandmother's recipe, being submitted on behalf of Dean B. (Eat. Pray. Dean.), a classmate of my daughter.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg of elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 can(s) cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 can(s) of water
  • 4 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 1 pkg peas (canned or frozen)
  • Add All Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1
Brown ground beef and onion; drain liquid.

Step 2
Add soup and water to browned ground beef and onion. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 3
Cook elbow macaroni then drain.

Step 4
When all is cooked, place in casserole dish in layers (elbow macaroni, Velveeta, peas, soup and meat mixture) until all is gone.

Step 5
Cover casserole and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
