Recipe Story
We have a relative by marriage that has CF that has recently moved to our area so we are starting to learn more about the disease. This recipe is a family favorite that we have shared and enjoyed at our get-togethers.
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb melted butter
- 2 c graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 lb softened butter
- 2 c powdered sugar
- 3 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 can(s) pineapple chunks
- 1 pt fresh or frozen thawed strawberries
- 9 oz Cool Whip
- 1/2 c chopped pecans or walnuts
- 12 bananas
- Add All Ingredients
Directions
- Prep Time: 35 minutes
Combine 1/4 lb melted butter and graham cracker crumbs.
Press into a 9x13 in. pan.
Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Beat 1/4 lb softened butter, sugar, and cream cheese until creamy.
Spread over top of graham cracker crust.
Slice bananas lengthwise, dip in pineapple juice and lay over cream cheese mixture.
Spoon on pineapple chunks, then the strawberries (drain if thawed from frozen).
Spread cool whip over fruit and then cover with nuts.
Chill.
Cut in squares.
Optional to drizzle chocolate over each serving.
