Our Oatmeal Cookies

Since our CF son needs to eat many healthy calories to gain weight while he is growing up, this cookie became a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 c unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 c quick cooking oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 c walnuts, chopped
  • Add All Ingredients

Instructions

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Step 1
Cream together soft butter, sugar and eggs.

Step 2
Add other ingredients.

Step 3
Form into long rolls and chill for one hour.

Step 4
Cut long rolls into slices 1/4-inch thick and place on greased cookie sheets.

Step 5
Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
