Grandpa's Flank Steak

I have a 30-year-old daughter with cystic fibrosis, and her grandfather (my father) loved this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb flank steak
  • 1/3 c soy sauce
  • 1/3 c canola oil
  • 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp chopped chutney
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp instant minced onion
  • Add All Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1
Score steak well.

Step 2
To prepare marinade, mix all additional ingredients together.

Step 3
Marinate steak in mixture for 4 hours or overnight.

Step 4
Drain liquid and grill steak on med-high or under broiler about 5 minutes per side for medium rare.

Step 5
Baste with marinade, and slice in thin slices on the diagonal.
