"Living through a global pandemic with a chronic illness, what is one piece of inspirational advice that you would give to other students with CF who are in the same or similar position?"

Living through a global pandemic with a chronic illness one piece of advice that I would give other students with CF who are in the same or similar position is to never give up on seeing the good in something that seems bad. Being in college even during a pandemic it was hard to watch my peers going out and not caring for themselves in regards to regulations and not being able to join them because of the fear of catching the virus. I would stay in my dorm and do work or study while watching my peers going out and enjoying a full college experience, however at the end of each semester not only was I getting better grades but I was also understanding all the material that was given to me. When I would be upset that I could not go out I just thought about the pain I would go through if I caught the disease and most times after each weekend more and more people I knew would catch it so by me just being smart and working on bettering myself I stayed healthy. The best thing for me was realizing at the end of my first year at college was seeing my grades and the fact that I never caught the virus while many people I knew had multiple failing grades and were ill caused by wanting to out and not follow regulations.
